During tvN’s “New Journey to the West 6” last year, Eun Ji Won and Lee Soo Geun won a trip to see the Northern Lights in Iceland during a random prize draw. Although the pair expressed worry about the long flight they would need to take to collect their prize, they eventually flew out to Iceland on September 1 for a four-day stay.
In the first two teasers, Lee Soo Geun and Eun Ji Won introduce their show as “Iceland in Three Meals” and call themselves sekki, which means three meals. The word is also similar to the Korean slang for punk, so they constantly use this word play with a straight face. Lee Soo Geun also reveals that their show will be broadcast for a duration of just five minutes, so viewers should take care of their errands before watching the show.
In the next clip, the two enjoy a meal of steak and wine at 5 a.m. and constantly bicker throughout the meal. The two variety stars finally ask viewers to stay tuned for the premiere of the show and assure viewers that their title is spelled sekki (three meals) instead of saekki (punk).
“Iceland in Three Meals” also shared several photos on its official Instagram account of the two stars preparing for their trip to Iceland. In one post, they wrote, “Hello. It’s three meals in Iceland.”
For another post, they wrote in the caption, “Thanks for 10,000 followers. Yoo hoo!”
“Iceland in Three Meals” premieres on September 20 at 10:40 p.m. KST. Following the broadcasts, Channel NaNaNa will upload the full version of the episodes on its YouTube channel.
