After School’s former member, Kaeun will be starring in a new web drama!

The upcoming we drama is entitled “Another Peaceful Day in Secondhand Country” and it’s planned to be released mid next year. It will be Kaeun’s third acting project and her first after more than two years since her last drama “The Idolmaster KR/The IDOLM@STER.KR” that broadcasted from April to October 2017.

Back in 2014, Kaeun appeared in the drama “Trot Lovers” as she took the guest role of an MC of Music Tank in the tenth episode. She made her acting debut in “The IDOLM@STER.KR,” where she played the role of Chae Na Kyung, who is one of the members of girl group Red Queen that was formed by Interactive Media Mix for “The Idolmaster KR.” The female band even made their debut in May 2017 with the single “Super Girl Magic.” The other members of Red Queen were Nine Muses’ Jo So Jin, Tahiti’s Kim Sun Young, and I.B.I’s Han Hye Ri.

In addition, “Another Peaceful Day in Secondhand ‘Country'” is her first drama following her departure from Pledis Entertainment and after signing with a new label, High Entertainment.

Kaeun entered the entertainment industry after joining the girl group AFTER SCHOOL in 2012 and participating in their first Japanese concert. She officially debuted with the group with their fifth Korean single album titled “Flashback” in June of that year.

In 2018, Kaeun participated in the survival reality show “Produce 48” and even became the center for the show’s official song “Nekkoya.” In the finale, Kaeun ranked 14th and, therefore, unable to be part of the final lineup for project girl group “IZ*ONE.”

Last July of this year, the female artist graduated from After School following the end of her contract with Pledis Entertainment. She is a recent After School member to leave the group and agency. The current members are Raina, Nana, and E-Young. Shortly after parting ways with Pledis Entertainment, Kaeun signed an exclusive contract with High Entertainment.
