“Youth of May” is a romance drama about the fateful meeting of medical student Hwang Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) and nurse Kim Myung Hee (Go Min Si), who fall in love amidst the whirlwind of events that take place in May 1980, a historically significant time period in South Korea.
In the previous episode, Hwang Hee Tae and Kim Myung Hee shared a tearful reunion, and their love grew stronger than ever. However, Gwangju has been taken over by armed soldiers as the nation is put under martial law.
On May 31, the drama unveiled stills of the upcoming episode. Hwang Hee Tae unexpectedly comes across tear gas, and he is bleeding as if he has been attacked by someone. On the other hand, Kim Myung Hee loses her belonging to armed soldiers, and she scrambles backward as her eyes widen with alarmed tears. Viewers are eager to find out how these two characters will overcome the horrendous events of the Gwangju uprising.
