“Mokkoji Kitchen” is a sweet-and-salty foodie romance drama that revolves around chef Moo Young, who runs a one-person fusion Korean restaurant, and college student Ro In, who knows all the delicious restaurants around town. The two become intertwined in each other’s lives and end up sharing food to fill their hearts.
Gongchan plays Moo Young, the chef of Mokkoji Kitchen. Although he is sincere, hardworking, and responsible when it comes to food and cooking, he is a clueless newbie when it comes to anything else and doesn’t know much about everyday life. Nam Kyu Hee plays Ro In, a college student who is nicknamed the “foodie navigator” and considers finding delicious restaurants and eating delicious food to be her raison d’être in life. Her refreshing and optimistic personality also allows her to become friends with the proud chefs of the restaurants she discovers, even with those like Moo Young, who is reluctant to enter into relationships with other people.
The poster shows the two leads looking deep into each other’s eyes against the backdrop of a cute and simple kitchen. The caption reads, “You know that food that you eat with me tastes better, right?”
“Mokkoji Kitchen” is one part of a project from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea International Cultural Exchange Agency that aims to spread Korean lifestyle and culture (e.g. food, beauty, fashion, health, recreation) to different countries around the world.
“Mokkoji Kitchen” will start airing on the YouTube channel “KOK (King Of Korean-drama) TV” on September 6 at 10 a.m. KST.
